LAUNCH. What do you think?

Here’s an initial design of LAUNCH, the kids program you helped me name yesterday?

launch3

The program is being targeted to kids. It’s actually for all kids 5th grade and under, but I wanted to really target those 4th and 5th grade boys to get them excited about it. This is just the image on the front.

I got the font here.
I got the background here.
I bought the rocket here
I used some grunge brushes (I downloaded them from the web for free) to make the text/rocket look old and dirty up the background.

I think it’s pretty sweet. I like the more edgy look and feel. I think it’s pretty fun for the kids too.

The only potential visual problem I notice is that when you first look at it, if you don’t notice that the rocket is supposed to be an A, you might read it as “lunch” instead of “launch.”

I really like it! I also had read this a couple of times in my head as “lunch” just like Amanda commented. Nice overall look and feel though! Cool.

Very nice Kenny. Believe it or not but I wouldn’t change a thing.

  • Alex Miranda

I think if you lower the rocket graphic a few nudges down it might eliminate the potential visual problem. Just a thought…
    Otherwise a very cool layout!

I like it. But, I wonder if you could substitute colors to correspond to the adult event?

Like it. Wouldn’t change it. Must be good if you enticed Matt out of his google reader to comment.

Looks Great! Now how do you work the pirate ship theme into this?

  • http://childrensministryonline.com Kenny

Thanks for all the feedback. We actually changed a little bit of this graphic as we changed some of the colors to match the adult event this corresponds with.

    JC, no boats.

Wow Matt. First shot and I got it right! I’m honored.

Would you launch program include lunch? This might hit the target and fuel the”blast-off” rocket image.
