I’m sure I’m like most. A little encouragement goes a long way. I actually perform quite well with little or no encouragement, but when it does come, it is certainly appreciated. A practice I have kept for many years is to file away encouraging emails. There have been days where I have felt disconnected from what God has called me to do and going back to read some of those letters and emails seems to do the trick to get me back on track.
Just this last week my Children’s Pastor reached out to me. Randy Stephen was my Children’s Pastor from the time I was about 5 or 6 until I was in Middle School. I grew up in his ministry and eventually served in his ministry for several years. Few people have had as much impact on my life as this man. So, it was a treat to hear from him and hear about the great things God is doing in his life and ministry. He ended his email with this:
Kenny, I am proud of you! Continue to press on man of God! Â There is much at stake and much to do and through HIm we can do all things!
How could that not make my week?
So, how do you keep yourself encouraged?
