Born into heaven: Resoruces

Posted on 12. May, 2010 by in Events, Family, Fresh Ideas, Parents, Personal

I certainly don’t expect that if you do an event like this, you’ll do everything just the same way we did. However, there’s not point in reinventing the wheel. So here are all the pieces to this event. Again, I didn’t come up with our carry out this event. My wife dreamed up this event while pregnant several weeks back. Right after losing the baby, she gathered together with three other women at our church and the four of them put all of this together. They were willing to share, so I present to you all of their creativity and hard work.

    Hi,

I just wanted to point out one of the specific resources our church offers that we put on our resource list. We offer a Bible study annually for women who are suffering from post-abortion syndrome. The curriculum is Forgiven and Set Free: A Post-Abortion Bible Study for Women.

I’ve read that there is a study just for men too. (Men who’ve encouraged or pushed a partner to have an abortion can suffer from the guilt of that choice too.)

In the U.S. today, 1 in 3 women will have an abortion by the time they are 45. I personally have talked to many women who carry the pain of that choice in their past, and in some cases the guilt and shame have paralyzed them from moving forward with Christ. I’ve also talked to several women who’ve gone through this study and have seen it change their lives.

I love the fact that in today’s world, there are so many great resources for the church to really help hurting parents.

Can I just say how incredible it is that out of the pain you and your wife have borne, such a beautiful ministry has come to be birthed? My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn your loss. May you be blessed in your sorrow, even as you are blessing so many others in theirs.
