Collaboration: One Prayer

I’ve talked a lot about collaboration this year. It’s my favorite word. How do you collaborate? How are you collaborating right now? Does your church collaborate?

Right now our church is doing One Prayer with nearly 2000 other churches. Hundreds of churches have uploaded video teachings. Thousands of people will hear the words of guest pastors speaking into their lives and into their situations. This is collaboration on an epic scale.

How else are you collaborating?

Are you guys using the kids curriculum or family small group videos? It’s been really cool for our kids and adults to be aligned like this.

I want to see more back and forth sharing of resources. Right now, we are struggling to build a base of experienced, diverse actors for our videos. I’d love to find some churches that have already done this through drama programs and shows and stuff that could help us out.

Everyone can’t be good at everything. I’d love to see chidlren’s ministry be the big global collaboratory that leads the Church forward.

I haven’t taken a look at the family small group videos yet. I plan to and I’ve got some families who might be interested in testing some out for us.

I really love the idea of multiple churches collaborating on a project together. Life Church really did with One Prayer, but we haven’t really done something like this in the area of kids. I’ve been thinking about this a lot the last year or so. It wouldn’t be too hard and could be a lot of fun. In addition, I think we’d all learn a lot from each other.

The OnePrayer series has sparked collaboration on a global scale, but also on a micro scale within our church. Since our OnePrayer mission to an underprivileged area, we’re working to collaborate with other ministries to make an impact. I love the idea of several different ministries from a variety of churches and non-profits locking arms to make an impact.
