I actually enjoyed the "love" story. But I also wanted to be knowledgeable so I could discuss the books with kids that DID read them. I watched Twilight on DVD with my girls (they really wanted to watch it)-that way I could explain it to them (what was REALLY happening!). I realized, however, that when you read a book, you can "picture" the parts you want to and NOT the parts you don't. But if you go to the movies, you can't! I made the decision NOT to watch New Moon (or any others). My girls have not expressed any interest in watching them either. It's amazing how kids will listen when you explain your reasons! I can not usually build a wish list of reads, because I usually get them done within a short time of knowing about them. Good job though of having a list and direction of reading.
