I’m not ashamed, I love my fonts. Although I’m not a professional, I do like to dabble in graphic design. When starting a project, I almost always start with the font. I sort through hundreds of fonts looking for just the right one. Then I design around the font. I know know if this is right or wrong, it’s just the way I do it. So I really do love my fonts. I enjoy recognizing fonts I design with out in the wild. If you remember, I’m also passionate in my dislike for certain fonts as well.
Why am I writing this? Well, I am passionate about this and that should be enough reason alone. However, I’ve found that every Children’s Pastor wears multiple hats, one of which is “graphic designer.” Few things bother me more than a poorly designed flyer or sign. So, I thought I’d publish a few posts this week on fonts.
I am so fortunate to have a fully staffed design team on staff, so I usually just offer constructive feedback on what they do…

I’m new to this graphic designer hat – never thought I would be doing that but realizing how important it is!
Where can I find some good free fonts?
J.C. I love that video. I forgot about it. I’m going to add that to my font series this week and make it a post on it’s own… it deserves it. Thanks for the find!
