[...] I posted a few months ago about my issue with losing weight. Six months of working in my parents tax office and interviewing for a new job wasn’t good on my body. Actually I think that it was the holidays at my parents that primed the pump. I ate a ton of junk. Bottom line is that I gained 15-20 pounds from the time I left DFW to the time I flew out to Austin for my final interviews. When I was 15-20 pounds lighter, I had been working on losing 15-20 pounds. [...]

I'm so happy to know I'm not the only sasquatch making needles do turns! I just yesterday made the same vow. NO MORE (delicious, throat tickling, sweet tasty) SODAS! I love the flavored water idea. But plain water? C'mon!

I was going to mention water too.....BTW, a high level Pepsi executive was on the mission trip to Uganda with us. He says he would never drink Diet Pepsi (or any diet drink) He talked about all the chemicals and stuff in the drink. He gave some specifics which were really gross and which I can't spell, but it has made me go back to good ole water. Purely from being grossed out.

Uh - have you heard of H2O????????? Good ole' God breathed water! The new single serving drink packets that you add to a bottle of water come in about a zillion flavors - Peach Tea - Green Tee (very good for you, BTW) - lemonade flavor. . .we keep a case of bottled, spring water in the fridge all the time - I even have the boys weaned off sodas (well, most of the time!). The one thing I have not been able to do is give up my coffee! Yikes, I still drink about a pot a day! !

I made the switch to decaf unsweetened tea a few years ago... it taste like dirt water but it's got color to it so I can trick my brain into thinking I'm not drinking water.
