I, too, have not found the right combination. After 9 years at LC, I don't lack vacation time so much as I lack optimal opportunities to take it. The classic ministry mistake... thinking you can't be gone during certain events/seasons. Next week I'm on vaca, but the first few days is a 'stay-cation' where my kids will keep their routine and I'll spend some time writing. By midweek, we'll get a way for a few days. Hoping by then I'll have writing and reading out of my system so I can focus on my husband and kids. Will let you know how it goes. Have fun with Sara.
