Be the first to hear groundbreaking research commissioned by Orange and implemented by the Barna Group on the nationwide ORANGE UPDATE: THE INTERSECTION OF THE CHURCH AND THE FAMILY.
Orange has put a lot of effort into this study and the results are going to answer a lot of questions for you as a church leader. This is very EXCITING.
I’m looking at it this way. Almost a decade ago, Barna rocked the world with “Transforming Children” which showed the church the importance of children’s ministry within the church. Barna followed up that book with “Revolutionary Parenting” to explain to parents what needs to happen in the home to create spiritual champions. I’m seeing this report as the final piece. Survey Sunday

Two Sunday’s ago was Gateway’s Survey Sunday. I remember seeing the results of our survey last year and there was some good information there. I thought some of you may be interested in what we ask our church once a year.
We’re always gathering information and stories, but this is one way we receive some concrete data and stories.
One question in particular that I’m interested in is the one highlighted in yellow in this section:

Spending the day at North Point and Buckhead

I’m very excited about tomorrow. Last year I took the opportunity to attend Buckhead Church and see ministry in action. This year I’m doubling the fun. I’ll be driving up to North Point for the morning. Josh and I will take the official North Point tour during the first service. Then we’re going to attend the second service. Later that evening I’ll be attending Buckhead Church. I really loved the environment, so I want to experience it again.
Last year I really wanted to experience a large video campus. However, Andy preached live from Buckhead. I’m not complaining, but I didn’t get to see what I wanted to see. Since I will be attending a service at two different campuses, I’ve got a feeling that I might just get to experience at least one service on video.… Read the rest

Busy week

I think this is about the quietest I’ve been on the CMO blog since I came back in March. Sorry. I’ve got a whole bunch of posts swimming around in my head, I’m just saving them up! Actually, it’s been a pretty crazy 10 days.
- I got back from camp last week, on my little boy’s first birthday.
- We moved into our new house right before camp, so we’ve been unpacking a few boxes at a time… this is taking forever.
- Three groups with three different assignments. I’m in a small group with some men on staff. We’re reading a book of the Bible each week. This week is John. I’m in a spiritual development group with some guys I just met that’s been a lot of fun.
