Reggie Joiner’s first webcast

In case you missed it yesterday, Reggie hosted a webcast from the reThink offices in north Georgia. Reggie talked a lot about what is happening right now around the reThink offices as they gear up for the Orange Conference. There are a lot of things going on right now including a study with the Barna Group about the state of the family as well as a book concerning the faith transition from 18-25 years.
Reggie will be doing webcasts every week and it’s certainly something you’ll want to participate in. Reggie spends a lot of time answering questions of the viewers. Below is the webcast from February 11th.

Why attend the Orange Conference 10: Reason #4

You’ve probably heard the statistic that more than 70% of students walk away from their faith within one year of graduating high school? Reggie has been working on a study about the loss of faith in college students and it’s turned into a book called “Slow Fadeâ€.  This is another hot question in the Christian community over the past several years and the topic of many studies (and even controversy over what it means).  Reggie has a unique take on what is happening that will bring clarity to this issue.

Why attend the Orange Conference 10: Reason #3

In this little series of why a person should attend the Orange Conference, I’m trying to show some of the great reason why to attend that aren’t totally obvious. Sure you’re going to learn a lot, you’ll get some great resources and network like crazy with all kinds of people. But there’s other reasons as well. Here’s reason number three.
This year Reggie will be unveiling a new strategy and resources for engaging parents. If you use ReThink materials, you’ve found that there are a lot of great resources for engaging parents, but not really one integrated strategy to present to parents of preschool kids or elementary kids. Welcome to Orange Week!

Welcome to Orange Week. This week several leaders and voices for Children’s ministry will be posting about Orange. It’s something that so many are very passionate about, including myself. This series of posts (more like a blitz) is for anyone. Those familiar with Orange will find my posts and those of others a refreshing reminder. Those who aren’t familiar with Orange… hang on tight, you’re about to drink from a fire hose! Hopefully by the end of this week, you’ll have a very clear picture of what Orange is.
So in a nutshell, what is Orange?

Next week is Orange week

Well, Orange is certainly in the air. Only a few months away until Orange 2010 and next week I’m taking a small group of leaders to Dallas for the One Day Orange Tour. So, as you might imagine, I’m thinking a lot about the Orange Strategy.
So, next week is Orange week. I’ll write at least one post a day about the Orange strategy, Orange conference and certainly a number of posts about what I experience and learn at the Orange Tour.
