Since we put these new signs out two weeks ago, I’ve wanted to post pictures here. Then I was thinking I should definitely link this to Matt McKee at Remix of Children’s Ministry as a shout out to Sign Wednesday… or is it Thursday???
About 7 weeks ago my churchdecided to add another venue at my campus. We needed another big room which would seat 400-600 more people. That place just happened to be where my 3rd-5th grade had church. It certainly wasn’t one of those “Kids always get the shaft” deals, but more of a “taking one for the team” opportunities. Quite frankly, we’re out of seats, but we’re still growing.
What did that mean for CT Kids? Well, we were given an area of our facility that isn’t used as much. It’s the newest section of our building which consisted of two large rooms. This was a great opportunity for the kids. We got a full remodel, new lights, new carpet, new chairs, new everything. I’ll post pictures of our new space sometime soon. The only downside is that the area is on the other side of our auditorium… meaning that it is separated from the rest of the kids and the only way to get to it is to walk outside… around the auditorium.
So far, this hasn’t been a big deal… but it hasn’t rained yet. We know that this is inconvenient, but we hope to make up for this by offering an incredible ministry. If we’re doing it right, it won’t matter where we put it… cause the kids will want to be there. So, to make the journey to the Elementary area a little more fun, we got creative with the signs.
Thanks for the Shout and it is Wednesday. By the way, nice looking signs. The curvy arrow is nice. Are you using the arrow any other places? I would have it be your arrow for all signs. Give your ministry a little brand and if people see that arrow then they know it is for your ministry. The only bad part is there may be to many words on a couple of the signs. You would really have to stop and read. Not always bad but not always good. So there is what I think.
Hey Kenny! Great Signs! They stand out, are cleat to read, very helpful, and FUN! I was wondering if you remember the company we used for the Drive In Movie Night at Anchor we did. We are looking for a front project screen, cuz ours right now is only rear project. We are trying to price it, and hopefully find something we can just pop back on. Any help would be appreciated. When we get our room converted, you should come by and check it out. It will be awesome! You can see pics of the room right now on my blog, http://www.tank5319.blogspot.com. Later!
