It’s been a long time since I’ve posted an Algerian font in the wild. I did see one while in Atlanta last month and was getting ready to upload it when I discovered something. I noticed a link coming into this blog from Wikipedia. Hmmm, what is Wikipedia linking to on my blog? Click here to see.
The Wikipedia entry for the Algerian font has four cited sources. One of them is mine. The other three also trash the overuse of this font. I’m just glad I’m not alone.
One of the sources is a Flickr group dedicated to sharing photos of Algerian in the wild. It looks as if the guy in the group is European as most of the photos are from Europe. I joined the group as well and will start representing the United States and our innapropriate use of this font!
