YEAH BABY! Love to read right now.
Misty Phillips’s last blog post..Best Foot Forward
We are a fairly new church plant (6 months). We are wanting to go Orange and are trying to figure out the best structure and how to implement it. It sounds like a perfect road map.
Man, I have been waiting for this book since he announced it a few years back…I was so disappointed when amazon finally pulled the picture and it seemed like it wasn’t going to happen.
As for why, other than the above, Lanny Donaho owes me a different book and I think he may not be able to come through so I’ll get one of Reggies just to give him a little poke by reviewing it and saying I like it better than God’s Blog

Please don’t pick me, please don’t pick me (reverse psychology works every time)
God has been changing my philosophy of children & youth ministry for the last 4 years.
At my church, our leadership team just affirmed my goal of doing a major research project to develop a discipleship strategy for birth through young adult. The philosophy shift is moving our vision to see the family as the primary agent of faith inspiration, and the role of the church to be the guide, equipper and cheerleader of the family.
Even more, I’m hopeing to begin a PhD on this very topic [Family Focused Church Strategies for the Spiritual Formation of Children] in 2010.
[Oh, and I typed this all on my phone bc I want the book so badly that I could wait until I was at a real computer to reply, lol]

Can’t make it to Orange caus I’m geographically challenged… but i am looking forward to reading all the blog updates about it and hopefully saving up enough to come over next year or the year after that. I’m excited about what God is doing all over the world!
You NEED to give me the book to share some of the kidmin love on the other side of the world (New Zealand)!

would love to have the book, challenge our church/staff to think Orange, bringing one person to start … rethink color orange in the the land of burnt orange..
I attended Catalyst for the first time last year and now I’m attending my first Orange Conference. I’ve excited but nervous too. I’ve taught preschool at my church for almost 5 years but I’ve recently become the leader for the Preschool area. The reason I want this book – because I had a hard time even typing that last part “leader for the preschool area.” I love the kids and will do anything to help them grow, but I’m WAY out of my comfort zone being a leader. I’d love to know more about how to Think Orange and help my volunteers.
By the way, I found you via Twitter and I’m loving your blog!
I’d love a chance to get a copy. Thanks.

Pickles and orange candy. Discuss.
I just want to be able to say to everyone that I have a copy and they don’t.
Plus: Reggie is the best looing balding guy I’ve know.
Also: I have some down time before taking on a new minsitry and I need the next best read.
Jamie Doyle’s last blog post..And so it continues…
Why I want it? Because I didn’t have the cash to be able to go to Orange and get my own. Why should you give it to me? Because we have the same last name. Nuff said.

I need that extra nudge of inspiration Reggie always provides to take the next big step with Orange ideas in our church. I will be at Orange – but taking a portable Reg home with us will be the icing on top (orange icing of course!)
Plus – BONUS! When Reggie gets crazy-famous and the signed copy is worth the whole kit-and-caboodle – we’ll have already read it and let it soak into everything we do – and I will split the ebay auction fortune right down the middle with you!!
Yes, I’m getting some good feedback. I’ll be giving away this book tomorrow. I’ll post how a little later today… it’s going to be fun. If you haven’t commented yet, do so before noon tomorrow!
Oh, and just so you know. My friend Gina over at JabberFrog is giving away a copy as well. Why not increase you chances? http://jabberfrog.com/2009/04/23/givin-away-a-free-book/
i like the way books smell.
i need all the orange resources i can get my hands on to stay one step ahead of my high powered leadership team.
I’d love to learn more about the Orange ideas and how they could apply to my church.

We can’t attend the Orange conference, but would LOVE to pass around a copy of the book! We’re a group of teachers/volunteer children ministry leaders ministering in several small churches here in rural Ohio who love kids & their families. It has been a longtime passion of ours to get church & families to work together toward raising up a godly heritage. We are SO excited to see what you’re doing there to equip churches & families to raise up the next generation. Go Orange!!
We aren’t going to be attending the Orange Conference (although we would have loved to!) but we will be there for the Drive Conference the following week. We’re very excited to learn North Point’s Model and we are hoping to put everything we learn and hear and see to good use this fall as we begin using 252 Basics in each of our 3 services (2 Sunday and 1 Midweek). We are sooo excited! I would love to read Reggie’s book! We are a church that has been around for more than 30 years in it’s current state but had been 3 separate churches before that. To change perspectives and “go Orange” we are going to have alot of work to do and alot of 2 degree changes to make before we can get there. It may become a bit of a longer term project, but will be well worth it in the end. I actually sent Reggie a message on Facebook about our children’s ministry and he was kind enough to answer it – what a great guy!!!
I could use a good read on the flight to Atlanta next Wednesday. I will promise to read out loud to those sitting with me as well! Can’t wait for the Orange Experience!
This will be my first trip to Orange. I am new to children’s ministry (been serving for almost 4 years, and leading for less) and I am trying to learn all I can to make our K-5th graders feel comfortable and loved when they come to church. As well as have a lot of fun. This book would be a great tool to have as we are trying to build our children’s ministry.
BTW, looking forward to meeting and getting to know some new folks next week!!
If I had this book I’d use to help our team learn how to reach lonely, hopeless, lost kids. WHO CAN BEAT THAT ANSWER! Just kidding I’ll grab a copy of it later. Thanx for your generosity though. I’m sure someone’s team will be blessed by it.
In the course of being involved in children’s ministry, I have heard the expression “ORANGE” used repeatedly. I have heard good men and women rave about the Orange Conference. I have heard about Orange concepts. One of the guys I follow on Twitter even had an Orange for a head!
I know the Orange philosophy involves blending. But I am woefully ignorant of the particulars. And although I am not a proverbial spring chicken, I am very much a student of children’s ministries. And as a student, I do not like to be woefully ignorant of anything that has inspired so many. I cannot ensure that I will put an orange on my head, but it would be nice to bridge the gap and maybe even find some inspiration myself.
